Then maybe. If you just want to learn the ocarina then you'd be better off with a cheaper plastic one from a company like Focalink. They sound good and you don't have to worry about breaking it.
They're only about $20, so it's not a serious investment. But no, you probably shouldn't go for the Zelda one if you're learning to play. They're going to be harder to play since they're small, and that means you might never actually practice.
